Godhood or realization.
Everybody knows that liberation and godhood are the two primary goals every human Hindu seeks to achieve. Liberation means removing yourself from the endless cycle of birth and death. This happens when your pineal gland is awakened and you become realized keeping your body with you. The second type of mukti is that which enables the individual prana to merge with the totality or the total prana of the universe. This means that you have to leave your body. Another type of liberation is when the body becomes light, so light that the seer loses his opaque body and becomes like a beam or being of light. Such a seeker is immortal within his body. Most ascetics and seers possess this divine gift.
The second goal of all Hindus is godhood- many men and women try to reach the level of Gods and they succeed too- Gods do not blink their eyes, they have no shadows and they possess supreme abilities. Gods are not liberated, they are supranatural. Some gods are born as human reincarnations to free the populace from the overrule of the demons and devils.
Most average men and women live without any spiritual goal and they are born again and again until they desire liberation. Such people are not in control of their selves and destinies. They may also rebirthe as animals, birds, trees and vegetation. They may be born again as ghosts, demons and devils if they are too tamasic.
As human beings we have control over all aspects of life, even the afterlife and the rest of our existences.
