Russia’s President Vladimir Putin landed at the Palam Airport at 6pm sharp today, and the whole world is watching him. The host Indian side has put on a 5 layer security system in place for him. The security system consists of a police perimeter, several concentric circles, the area being sanitized wholly, several commandos, some snipers and even live drone surveillance systems that support every move of his.
Extremely important timing
The Russia- Ukraine war is still looming and yet, President Putin has taken out 2 whole days of his extremely tight schedule to meet our PM Narendra Modi personally. Rumors are doing the rounds that the US wants to assassinate PM Modi- an assumption that may be a strategic rumor in reality. Most political scholars view this as a power move and not just some phoney political posturing. India and Russia are too close to spend time doing unimportant and futile things.
After the start of the Ukraine war, Russia stands totally isolated with the US and UN and also the Nato countries expelling Russia and President Putin. India used to be neutral in most previous cases, but India can now find a friend and a mentor in the Russian President and the KGB. India has to show the US that the American President’s tariffs are not affecting it. Almost every leader in the Southern hemisphere is enormously interested in this event as Putin is a hero to a lot of Indians and the entire Indian bureaucracy.
India and Russia have ended the unipolar order of the world and now it stands as a multipolar world for most of the countries in the biosphere joining in fully. The BRICS countries will now be calling the shots instead of the UN, the EU, the US and the NATO countries. Even the WHO has lost a lot of its previous monopolies. America wants India to toe the line with China, but India is just not listening. Our Indian diplomats are stuck on working independently. Russia and India share some great Defense ties with Russia exporting many war weapons and working on several joint ventures with India trade-wise and also by rejecting the lousy weapons and military systems that America sells to us so very expensively.
America wants us to deal in Crypto and buy expensive crude oils and goods that are detrimental to the nation’s economy. India buys CNG from Russia- but India is still not exporting enough merchandise to Russia, so many economists suggest that we should include bartering. India should try to sell its goods and expertise in Agro businesses, Indian pharmacies to Russia- on top of the sanctions and tariffs, Russia’s exclusion from the SWIFT mode of payments has proven to be a sanction that Russia can do without globally. Many Indian economists want us to exit the US trade scenario completely and focus all our economic prowess onto Russia instead of the US completely. The whole world roots for a multipolar world with some strategic autonomy for India especially. The BRICS nations supported Russia against Ukraine, and now it is time for the two countries to rule the global South hegemonically. We both have to look out for some alternate means to our resources, and we should also focus our attention on improvising our bilateral and several other regional systems of security.
