Nobody can tell whether Cuba is a poor or even worse country that has become an obsession with the US. It is safe to say that it belongs to the Caribbean, and is basically an island economy. The main problem of the country is its poor economy that doesn’t even work for its brainiest best. Who doesn’t know the great Cuban cigar, and also its mostly Hollywoodian taste? Cuba is undergoing the worst time in its economic trajectory with America now wanting to take over it entirely.
Did America do all that to Cuba deliberately? Are Venezuela, Ukraine, Cuba and other Western countries just supposed to remain as the shadow economies of the US and Russia permanently? Nobody can answer all these important questions ever so unfortunately.
Havana, despite all its financial hardships, has a really picturesque skyline as can be seen on the net quite vividly. All of its native citizens keep facing several power blackouts all too tragically- it has several energy and fuel issues plaguing it almost concurrently.
The country is a socialist’s greatest delight and a potential capitalist’s worst nightmare. All its buildings are extremely old fashioned with no one trying to renovate or renew them quite alarmingly. Cuba has too many imported goods and services and too little of its own products and innovations despite its high rate of national literacy.
Sometime in the past, Cuba had also witnessed an industrial revolution of sorts that led to a lot of political hardships for the already breaking economy. Making matters worse, America had also shut down its trade benefits to the already beleaguered country.
As of now, the citizens of America are not allowed to enter Cuba legally. There is a travel ban because of America’s previous sanctions on the goods and services of Cuba and all its islands and islets most calamitously.
The citizens of America can travel if they are going there for educational reasons. They can go there also if they are journalists or reporters. All foreign travelers need to obtain visas compulsorily.
America wants to attach and exploit Cuba to its maximum capacity.
