Let us light up the fire of wisdom…

Diwali is just a few days away and people in India have already started celebrating crazily. Us Indians love to dance, eat and make merry in general, ever so fashionably, so the festive season is really close, starting with the festival dedicated to our 9 divine Goddesses- namely, Navratri. During this event, we worship the female form of the divine and celebrate her victory over all things and beings immoral, evil and transient that all of us experience all throughout our lives most excruciatingly and incessantly. This is true to all of us who are striving hard to make our lives meaningful and successful independently- many Indians do not care to feel this way, and they are very happy living as pylons and some overtly dependent leeches onto their families and onto society in general most misappropriately.

The lighting up of lamps and fixing up of several colorful and electrical illuminations all over the home are some rather pleasant and consistent family rituals and practices undertaken all over the country with many families echoing their ultra special family bonds and ties with utmost sincerity.

The festival of Navratri draws to an end with the commemoration of Dasera when several effigies of a 10-headed Ravan are burnt down to ashes publicly. The Eastern Indian state of West Bengal has a riotous time all through the Navratras, ending up with an even louder carnival of the cessation of the most terrible Asura, namely Ravan, marking the over joyous victory of good (Ram) over evil (Ravan) with utmost clarity.
