BRAZIL and the BRICS
Brazil originated the assembly, which grew from four original countries to an 18-member group. China and Brazil are the BRICS’ top business partners, with their bilateral profits reaching a record $171 billion in 2025. Being Latin America’s largest economy, Brazil manufactures and trades with its major global exports like soybeans, coffee, meat, and iron ore. Brazil maintains a good rapport with the Global South and Western nations, avoiding any direct anti-Western confrontation.
